I have an old AMD Sempron computer with 512 MB RAM + a Nvidia FX 5700 video card. It had a SuSE 10.1. So, I downloaded the debian mini.iso file to install debian 8.4.0 on my AMD Sempro computer. The installation completed sans a problem. Upon booting up, the screen switches to a blank video mode. The /var/log/Xorg.0.log is as shown below and I hope someone may be able to spot what causes the screen to go blank.

- To install Debian on a machine without an Internet connection, it's possible to use CD images (650 MB each) or DVD images (4.4 GB each). Download the first CD or DVD image file, write it using a CD/DVD recorder (or a USB stick on i386 and amd64 ports), and then reboot from that.
- It provides a menu to install the Debian Edu Pure Blend. See the Debian Wiki for more information. What is a mac netinst image? The mac netinst CD here is a special version of the netinst CD image that is targeted specifically at older 32-bit Intel Macintosh machines. It will likely work on most other i386 machines too, but it does not contain.
The two installed Debian architectures are i386 and kfreebsd-amd64. Debian jessie makes a biosgrub partition that shows up on the Mac Pro option-poweron (or option-reboot) sequence that actually starts up grub2 which then selects a system and boots either the i386 or kfreebsd-amd64 systems.
